Relax with a book at The Greens

Next to Barsha Heights, The Greens is a stylish suburb surrounded by leafy lawns and three tranquil lakes. In summer it's a great spot for an early walk or run around its immaculately kept grounds. In the typically mild Dubai winters, The Greens is an excellent place to while away a lazy afternoon with a good book under a gently swaying palm tree.

Tee off at Emirates Golf Club

The Emirates Golf Club was the first championship course in the Middle East. Today, it offers 36 holes with beautifully landscaped greens, framed by shimmering skyscrapers. Practice your putting or play a few rounds, before dining on fine Indian cuisine at Emirates Golf Club’s Spike Bar.

Get your caffeine fix at Arrows and Sparrows

Bringing the hipster stylings of east London to Dubai; Arrows and Sparrows is a trendy café in the centre of The Greens. With raw, breezeblock walls, retro wooden chairs and industrial cooper lighting, the space is a chic destination, perfect for kicking back with a cappuccino. Late risers will love Arrows and Sparrows’ all-day breakfasts.

Take to the slopes at Ski Dubai

Who’d have thought carving down powdery white slopes of ice-cold snow in the subtropical desert climate of Dubai would be possible? A five-minute drive from Barsha Heights in the Mall of the Emirates, Ski Dubai is state-of-the-art indoor ski slope. Wrap up warm and choose between skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing. Kids will love the tube slides and giant ball run.

Enjoy retail therapy at Mall of the Emirates

Once you’ve had your fill of snowy thrills at Ski Dubai, explore the cavernous Mall of the Emirates. With over 500 boutiques and a huge range of restaurants and cafés, this retail behemoth is home to luxury labels such as Alexander McQueen, Fendi and Paul Smith, as well as an amazing range of gaming and electronic equipment. Want to catch a movie? The mall’s VOX cinema is the largest in the Middle East.
