No trip to Dubai is complete without a ride on a traditional abra boat or a lavish afternoon tea. Luckily, Jumeirah Al Qasr has found a magical way to combine both experiences with the Abra Afternoon Tea.

Cast off

Taking place between 16:00 – 18:00 every day, this unique afternoon tea time experience invites guests to board a private abra and float through the winding waterways of Madinat Jumeirah. With views of the resort’s lush surroundings and striking architecture, it’s the perfect way to spend a late afternoon.

Arabic-inspired delights

During the ride you’ll sample a delicious ‘high tea’ that puts an Arabic spin on classic pastry and savoury favourites. Guests can indulge in Arabic and Mediterranean finger foods such as hummus sandwiches, labneh rolls and muhammara cones as well as chicken and tuna sandwiches.

For indulgent desserts, guests can choose from homemade pastries and Middle Eastern-inspired delicacies such as strawberry rose and mango saffron macarons, pistachio vanilla cupcakes, and Kunafa fruit tarts.

Perfect sunsets

The abra journey lasts around an hour and is the perfect setting for all celebrations, or just to end a relaxing day, basking in the golden hours before sunset.

The Abra Afternoon Tea experience embarks from the closest abra station to Jumeirah Al Qasr with a boat capacity of two adults and one child per boat. The package includes one glass of champagne per person, sandwiches, English scones and small patisserie cakes, and is priced at AED 1500 per couple.
