With its dramatic craggy cliffs that plunge into the pristine turquoise sea, the dreamy island of Capri in Italy has long been one of the most romantic destinations in the Mediterranean. From admiring the cove studded coastline from the deck of a boat to tasting the delicious local cuisine, there is no shortage of things to see and do on your perfect mini-moon.
Experiencing a spa treatment as a couple is one of the best ways to connect. Guests have a variety of choices at Capri Medical Spa for a relaxing and stress-
relieving experience. Our couples massage and medical evaluations will encourage you to adopt a healthier lifestyle, release tension and recover from stress. Explore Capri’s wild side together through its scenic and breath-taking footpaths, and discover its secret coves and historic ruins. The ‘Sentiero dei fortini’ (‘Path of Forts’) on the wilder western side of Capri, links the ruins of Napoleonic-era forts and is scattered with cliffs, promontories and small creeks. The ‘Belvedere dei Sognatori’ (‘Dreamers’ Viewpoint’), near the Lighthouse of Punta Carena, offers a one of the best sunsets of the island, crowned with the nearby ‘Romantic Zone’, where a road sign orders: ‘kissing here is mandatory’. The Pizzolungo Path, which hugs the southern coast of the island, winds along the coastline through an ancient forest grotto towards the Arco Naturale rock formations. The picturesque Tragara trail begins at the boutique-lined Via Camerelle and takes walkers up to the Belvedere di Tragara, offering awe-inspiring views of the Marina Piccola on one side and the famous Faraglioni rocks on the other.
There’s nothing more romantic than gently gliding through the island’s pristine turquoise waters, admiring the dramatic coastline. Embark on a tranquil experience together and visit the Blue Grotto, a cave accessed by a narrow, low opening, through which an ethereal blue light slips in glinting off the water and creating an other-worldly feel. Organised trips leave every day from Marina Grande for one- or two-hour tours. Alternatively, you can hire a private boat for the day and discover some of Capri’s more secluded swimming spots.
Eating together is one of the most important moments of the day, so we endeavour to ensure your mini-moon meals are both special and memorable. The hotel is home to two Michelin-starred restaurant, L’Olivo, where Executive Chef Andrea Migliaccio elegantly reinterprets the region’s traditional cuisine using the island’s fresh produce. Indulge in the restaurant’s signature dish, the lemon-scented homemade tagliolini pasta with burrata cheese, red prawns, and sea asparagus, while admiring views of the Gulf of Naples together. Il Riccio, a cliffside restaurant overlooking the Blue Grotto, also provides panoramic views and is famous for its Plateau Royal, a celebration of assorted raw fish from clams and scampi to tuna and cuttlefish.
Prepare to experience the pinnacle of romance when you hop on together into the chair lift in Piazza Vittoria, which takes you on a splendid 12-minute ride to the top of Mount Solaro, the island’s highest and most panoramic point. Feel the ocean breeze against your face as you ascend and take in the views over the Gulf of Naples, the Gulf of Salerno, Anacapri, and the Isle of Ischia. At 589 metres above sea level, Mount Solaro offers stunning views over the island of Capri and the Amalfi Coast.
Enjoy our selection of romantic experiences when you stay at Jumeirah Capri Palace, nestled in a secluded corner of the island with panoramic views of Naples Gulf.
