The UAE’s new theme park, Warner Bros. World, is located at the heart of Abu Dhabi’s entertainment hotspot, Yas Island. With out-of-this-world immersive landscapes and interactive attractions, this entertainment hub is a magical place where you can travel to Gotham City, meet Fred Flintstone, and soar through the Wild West on a rollercoaster.

One of the largest indoor theme parks ever built, and the world’s first ever Warner Bros. indoor theme park, it cost an incredible $1bn, and took seven years to build. 

The park’s show-stopping Art Deco-inspired Warner Bros. Plaza celebrates Hollywood’s golden era and is lined with restaurants, cafés and shops. It’s also the main portal to the park’s six different immersive areas.

Metropolis is home to Superman, Aquaman and Green Lantern, battling it out with you in state-of-the-art 3D and 4D attractions, while in Gotham City, Batman, the Joker and the Riddler prowl the dark streets. 

At Cartoon Junction you can meet the Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, Tweety Pie and Sylvester, and at the Flintstones’ Bedrock, you’ll find a land of dinosaurs and prehistoric pandemonium. Finally, Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote are worth looking out for at the American Desert. 

Each zone has its own activities, play areas, and restaurants, but no theme park would be complete without high-octane rides. There are 29 of them across the park, from gentle ones for little kids to white-knuckle attractions for the brave. 

Those who enjoy speed will love the Batman: Knight Flight roller coaster and Fast and Furry-ous – an inverted roller coaster that spirals across coyote country.  For something more sedate and scenic though, take a boat tour through prehistoric times with Bedrock River Adventure or experience the Green Lantern: Galactic Odyssey 4D flying theatre. 

Just half an hour drive from Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort is a great destination for an action-packed family holiday.
