Turtle

An eco-friendly paradise

At Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort we like to move in harmony with our beautiful natural surroundings. Saadiyat Island is home to 59 sq km of protected marine reserve and is home to the endangered Hawksbill turtles, with up to 10 different turtle nests found on the beach. The Arabian Gulf also has the largest population of Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins in the world, and the second largest population of dugong (which are related to manatees and in centuries past were inspired by the legend of mermaids) in the world.

Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort puts sustainability high on the agenda and we are trying to do everything to ensure that our luxury is coupled with protecting the world around us. The resort has partnered with Trust Your Water to eliminate the need for single-use plastic water bottles. We encourage guests to use reusable bottles which can be refilled at water stations, and have removed plastic straws from all our bars and restaurants.
